La Rentrée

When I was learning French at school I always thought the phrase La Rentrée meant Back to School. Now that we live in France I have discovered that, whilst this is true, La Rentrée also refers to the return to normal day to day life, work and business after the long summer vacation. In the last few weeks our neighbours have returned from their trips to the country, shops that were closed all through August have opened again and the markets are bustling. Since my last post our family has relocated, settled in and each us of has made a new start. It's time to throw open the shutters on the blog so that we can share those adventures with you...
